From January 2015, Cambridge English will start using a new way of reporting results called Cambridge English Scale. This scale is built on over 100 years of research, experience and expertise in reporting of candidates’ performance and is designed to complement the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The scale allows for more detailed results reporting across the different Cambridge English Exams and better meets the needs of candidates, teachers and parents.

The Cambridge English Scale will first be implemented for Cambridge English: First (FCE), First for Schools (FCE for Schools), Advanced and Proficiency in January 2015. Other Cambridge Exams such as Cambridge English: Key (KET), Key for Schools (KET for Schools), Preliminary (PET) and Preliminary for Schools (PET for Schools) will be added to the scale during the year.
