Children around the world can now practise their English language skills while they are playing online video games developed by Cambridge. For teachers, it is a great tool to make the classroom more entertaining.
Shop and Drop:
Players can improve their sentence structure by progressing through the game’s virtual shopping environment. Content of the game is based on the Cambridge English: Young Learners Exams (YLE) which increases in difficulty as players progress through the levels. The first level is open access where parents or teachers can sign up to receive free child-friendly activities as well as unlock higher levels for young learners to progress. Young learners can also join a global leader-board to interact with other learners around the world.
Monkey Puzzles World Tour:
This game is designed to develop young learners’ reading and listening skills. The content of the game is also based on the Cambridge Young Learners Exams (YLE). It provides excellent preparation for the test whilst being fun and entertaining. The game is available on both iOS and Android so parents and teachers can easily access the game by using their smart phone or tablet device. Learning centers can embed the game by copying and pasting the HTML code from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
